Our office was voted Best Family Law Firm in The Pilot's Best of the Pines last year, and we are looking for a Legal Assistant/Paralegal that can join our team.
In this position, you will work alongside our attorneys and other staff in managing our client files, assisting with client communication, performing relevant legal research, preparing legal documents, and drafting correspondence, and helping our clients resolve their legal issues.
On a daily basis, you will also be responsible for general administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and scheduling meetings.
Our ideal candidate has at least one year of experience in a law firm.
Pay is negotiable dependent upon experience, and we provide additional incentives beyond hourly pay with applicable bonus structure.
Legal Assistant Duties and Responsibilities Perform relevant legal research for active cases Prepare the first drafts of memos and other legal documents Create detailed spreadsheets and presentations Draft correspondence Answer phones and take messages when necessary Schedule appointments and maintain a detailed calendar Maintain and organize files; update files with case status and information Legal Assistant Requirements and Qualifications Associate's degree or paralegal certificate preferred 1
